International Litigation

BCP Abogados has participated, at the international level, in investigative and defense roles in cases of massive human rights violations, litigating before the Inter-American Human Rights System, participating in task forces that investigate human rights violations cases globally.

BCP Abogados is the only Chilean firm to have litigated before the Criminal Court of The Hague, representing the victims of the conflict raging in northern Uganda, in OTP v Dominic Ongwen.

One of its partners is co-agent for the Republic of Chile before the International Court of Justice, and another is a member of the Interdisciplinary Group of Independent Experts (IGIE) appointed by the Inter-American Human Rights Commission to investigate the circumstances surrounding the 2014 disappearance of 43 Mexican students after being detained by police forces in Iguala, Mexico.
