Experience

Mr. Piña has acted as counsel in several complex litigation cases in the fields of criminal law, administrative sanction law and civil liability. Mr. Piña is an expert in the development and implementation of crime prevention strategies in companies and corporate integrity. Mr. Piña was also President of the State Defense Council between March 2014 and March 2017, Undersecretary of Justice between 2012 and 2013, and acting Minister of Justice between November 2013 and March 2014. Mr. Piña was the Chilean delegate in Geneva to speak in the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of Human Rights before the UN in 2014. Mr. Piña has worked for the past 20 years as professor of Criminal Law in several national and foreign universities.
